1:144 F-102A Delta Dagger 509th FIS 1968
Kit: ARII World Famous Jet Fighter Series 11 F-102A Delta Dagger
Decal: Vector 144 Convair F-102 Delta Dagger - camouflaged
During the research phase on the C-140 build, I also realize that F-102 intercepters are always flying MIGCAP mission with the unarmed Jetstar, I then decided to build a Delta Dagger after the Jetstar is done.

The "deuce" from ARII is a former Ootaki moulding which is showing its age during the build, on the detail up I just put in a cockpit steal from the Cafe Reo F-5A kit, added the IR device in front of the canopy and let the rest as is.

Anyone have a pic of the boss bird of 509th FIS?

1:144 C-140A Jetstar 1867FCS/AFCS 1975
Kit: Roden Lockheed C-140A JetStar
Decal: From the spare box
Being a (self-proclaimed) Vietnam War maniac, this is only my first 1:144 flying object attempt in SEA camouflage! I also chose to build an airplane that isn't so famous to everyone to open the SEA floodgate, hopefully.

Having bought quite a number of 1:144 model kits from the Eastern European makers, I must say Roden are simply the best of the rest, at least it is buildable!

The second F-8 for today and it is a J Model bird, some minor modificaions have been done to represent the definitive version of the Crusader, included the bigger horizontal tail (from Platz), adding the large attenna on the vertial tail and the ECM near the air intake etc.

First of today, I just can't stop building Crusaders.

A few people believed the tail is actually blue not red, anyone can provide a colour picture to prove them wrong?

1:144 EA-3B Skywarrior VQ-1 World Watchers 1974
Kit: Cafe Reo Big Bird Vol. 3
Decal: Kit Decals
I bought this item a while back and somehow managed to finish it last year, it's an excellent kit in terms of overall shade and details.

With the latest Hasegawa 1:72 EA-3B release is not an new moulding but only provide decals to represent the fuselage windows and door, I think this one is the only plastic injeston kit of the "ELINT Whale" in the market.

What a waste Cafe Reo only release Skywarrior as an secret item in their Big Bird series, and sadly they seems to walk away from making new 1:144 planes too.

I still have one EA-3B kit in the box and is looking forward to build another Whale soon, this time I will try to convert it to a KA-3B.
